My Pile of sand ready for the Australian Sand sculpting Championships 2018

People asked me if I had a plan or was it just creating from my head.

Creating  something that looks so simple takes a lot of planning.

There is a great sense of satisfaction when your vision becomes a reality

The three cubic metres (around four tonnes ) of sand  awaits compaction.

Once the base has been compacted I added more height using bin forms.

Carving starts.

I was asked to sculpt Poseidon racing through the sea.

The event was the Mackay Airport Beach Horse Races.

Fire lighters were to be used to illumine the sculpture at night.
